Not every good stage actor cuts it on screen, not every good screen actor cuts it on stage. It might just be that.
That said, and getting back to the initial topic of this thread, Cynthia Erivo is clearly adept on stage, big screen and small screen. I am surprised and disappointed that she has been passed over for The Color Purple.
