Absolutely. I can completely see why Ms. Erivo -- who played that role for years and years, 8 times a week -- might simply want to tackle a new challenge.
That said, those of us who saw her on stage knew we were very, very, very lucky. It's one of the very very best performances I've ever seen on a Broadway stage.
