Considering MJ was never convicted of pedophilia nor is alive to address the allegations, continuously harping on it as if it's the only thing that defined MJ seems silly to me.
sWe all know what the allegations are. A reporter asking cast members about it on the red carpet is a blatant attempt at self-publicity.

Ticket buyers will determine for themselves if it's a significant enough deterrent (my guess is that it will not be--the general public will not care). My deterrent is more that it's a jukebox musical, which is always an attempt to be lazy show creators and bilk tourists out of their money.

Wagner was a vicious anti-semite, but that hasn't slowed his ticket sales.
