I responded to a post from FinalPerformance, in reference to an article that was published by The Daily Mail (not The Daily News), which was re-reporting a story first reported by Variety and supported by first-hand Tweets from the Variety reporter himself. This story was also reported by Insider.
In terms of The Daily Mail, their worldview is garbage, but they didn't make up the story nor the facts involved. Just because they reported it doesn't make the story itself incorrect or racist.
But now I see that while you're going down this rabbit hole with me, you're also responding to MBG that Variety itself is also right-wing, which should discredit Variety. So, looks like you're looking for anything you can to discredit the source and prevent us from talking about this musical's depiction of Jackson. |
