I think it's not terribly relevant. I expect the MJ creative team's decision to simply ignore the controversy to be worth interrogating by media from all ends of the political spectrum.
And not for nothing, but Variety rarely engages in any political reporting... but insofar as it is sometimes negative about Trump, I would describe it as leaning left, at best. Either way, I'm not sure why you're trying to gin this up into a political issue. |
