''I also like Merrill’s lyrics in CARNIVAL.'' So do I, and his melting melodies, too. From ''Carnival,'' I'd single out the lilting ''Mira'' and the lyrical ''Love Makes the World Go 'Round.'' And I especially love the soaring solo, ''Her Face.'' I've linked Matt Bogart's stirring rendition, but Mel Torme does a nifty swing version, too.
