| Does anyone know when there will be a new Angelica? I'd like to see the show again, but not until that time. | |

| Only slightly OT. I returned to Hamilton October 6, seeing the show in person for the first time in 6 years. Gonzalez was fine, vocally strong, if overshadowed by the powerful Alexander of Cervantes. What I noticed, and we've discussed here: the role is relatively small. She gets two introductions in the first act, both songs among the score's signature numbers (still performed wonderfully). And then she has little to do. She heads off/returns from Europe, scolds briefly, gets a narrator prism in "It's Quiet Uptown." But I still miss a bigger moment in the second act that might balance the weight of her entrance (and I know she lost a number, post-workshop). The show is a masterwork, so this is a quibble. But her stage time is rather brief, totaled up. Without Goldsberry, it's more noticeable. Which may be why you're waiting for a new actor. | |

| I completely agree about the size of the role and that Mandy’s voice is strong. I saw her in the role in the fall of 2016 and really felt that she only able to belt and project a strong demeanor. Goldsberry really elevated the role with many vocal timbres and her appealing presence. Without these qualities the competition with Eliza just didn’t work for me and the dynamic between Angelica and Alexander was not believable. Almost 6 yrs later I just can’t bring myself to see the show again with such a pivotal (although not much stage time) character portrayed in the same way. I’m truly waiting for a cast change and I think it’s time. | |
