I agree a thousand per cent re Kushner and editing and Rachel Zegler who should be up for Best Actress, and should win it as well!
Kushner's ideas produced a miracle: a film utterly faithful to the original show while being revelatory about the material at the same time.
And Spielberg should win for direction - for the scope, but also for direction such that the film can appeal to a broad audience while also sustaining the dynamic of violence ... while also presenting musical material in its most exhilarating form.
WSS is Hollywood filmmaking at its absolute finest. |
