Didn’t sell very well, proving that even a star like Jackman can’t always sell tickets in a bad vehicle for him / unsatisfying play even in just about as small as Broadway venues get.
As an aside, Im glad I saw the play and twice in a few days in previews with two different endings. Two sets of friends got me a ticket. It was definitely to me a piece where you have to fill in the gaps yourself to explain what was happening. Unless anyone has a definitive overview? Not Jez Butterworth’s best. I recall that it has great meaning for him though. |
