How's our gal holding up? I know her voice isn't what it once was, but when I saw her 3-4 years ago I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was holding up -- especially her upper register. And, of course, her comedic chops and her deeply felt connection to words and music were as present as ever.
I might be in Miami in late March when she's playing a concert with Brian Stokes Mitchell opening for her. Looks like she started touring again recently and has several dates (some as the guest of orchestras it seems.) |
