I liked some of what I heard in T.O. but the show that came to NYC was quite different. The movie is not in the Public Domain and the story it was based on was the basis of two films in France and Germany prior to 1959. But all would be under copyright in the US now unless there was a failure to renew under the old old rules.
Penniless Bums which was in the show in T.O. was brilliant and brilliantly staged and choreographed. |
