I saw FOS, and I saw Intimate Apparel the play but not the opera. The play was solid, but I hope, as some have said, the opera has made it even better, because I didn't find the play to be notably exceptional. But also Live from Lincoln Center does always pick based on the play or musical being so brilliant or urgently relevant that it must be broadcast.. whoever knows.
