| For whatever it's worth, I saw most of the Berkeley Rep Swept Away Q&A on Tuesday with three of the cast members, and unfortunately I missed the introduction to this subject, but from what they were saying Swept Away was hit by not one but two waves of Covid infections in the cast, and had various cast members out at different times . I think this was early in the run, maybe in previews in January, but that was the part I missed. Does anyone have more details? Anyway, Covid infections have indeed been a problem at Berkeley Rep this year with omicron, even with good audience safety precautions (I'm presuming that the cast was also working hard to avoid Covid). |
