It's so much fun discovering the NY theatre actors just appearing out of nowhere. (Well, they DO film in NYC! :) )
Santino Fontana, Kelly Bishop, Jackie Hoffman,
But this season has been such a mixed bag. I thought the first 4 episodes were almost brilliant. Dialogue was snappy, fast and clever. Like a Neil Simon play. But I guess they can't sustain that level of writing. This last episode (6) actually angered me. It was SO pushy, unfunny and desperate.
And speaking of the burlesque show...I'm not sure how they think that's a seedy theatre! And even those strip numbers are Broadway caliber! |
