| I saw Brown in Golden Boy in London in '68 when I was 16 (same weekend as Keith Michell and Joan Diener in La Mancha, if I might name drop from earliest theatergoing, first trip to the UK). What a great, warm presence he had. And that infectious Strouse "127th Street" was a highlight then, and still a standout in the score and on the recording. RIP |
