| Never saw it, but a cast album from a 1986 revival is available on most streaming services. The cast includes Dora Bryan and Cyd Charisse(!). Based on the synopsis, it's a very silly Cinderella rewrite in set in one of Britain's fiscally challenged stately homes. It would have lasted about five minutes here, but the score is loaded with catchy items. It's a fun, if slightly trashy, listen. Would live it if Musicals in Mufti would take a flyer on it. |
