You are correct. While I enjoy me some Rosie as well, I’m sure it would have been a challenge to restrain Rosie from stealing the spotlight from the lead. Kay Medford really knew how to quietly let you know who and where Mrs Brice was in a scene without upstaging Barbra both on stage and film.
