| Also nice to see that Scott Ellis has directed at least one episode this season and three over the course of the show's life. Others have posted here about the attention to period details, as in the billboard visible from Susie's office for "Molly Brown." So I am surprised to see so many green sidewalk sheds near Midge's building on Riverside Drive. These most likely would not have been in existence in the early sixties. These usually result from enforcing NYC's Local Law 11, which wasn't enacted until 1998 and which in turn updated a previous law enacted in 1980 to inspect building facades. Also I don't recall clearly marked pedestrian crosswalks at street corners dating that far back, but I could be wrong. |
