Although I think that a membership votes on Razzie winners, I think the nominees are literally determined by someone who thinks he's a comedian sitting in a room with his buddies. Have they even seen Diana? Who knows. I find it hard to believe that anyone actually thinks that Judy Kaye or Erin Davie truly gave one of the five worst performances on film this past year.
This year, Jared Leto was nominated for Worst Supporting Actor for House of Gucci, a performance for which he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor by the Screen Actors Guild.
The Razzies can be fun in a silly way. But I don't think it's a coincidence that they were founded by a publicist. |
