I agree about Thomas and also Michael Learned, Ralph Waite, Will Geer, and Ellen Corby in The Waltons. The weekly scripts were of a very high quality too.
Thomas seems to be perfectly cast as Atticus. I'm also looking forward to seeing Williams as Calpurnia. She's done some very fine work on Chicago stages over the last decade or so.
I also share your love of Thomas' work as Horace in The Little Foxes. Cynthia Nixon was also so touching as Birdie, and Linney, of course, was an excellent Regina. |
