Is there a new one or do you mean the short "Hello Gorgeous" video?
You're not unreasonable either way. It's a musical with one of the most famous big-singer roles in broadway and film history, made famous by one of the most successful and famous singers (and actor and singing actor) ever...
Beanie is not, as yet, known as a singer of any special note. And she is the one they chose to star in this, the FIRST revival on broadway since Barbra made it a hit near 60 years ago.
But I also don't blame them for not wanting to give away the goods for judgement out of context of the show, months and month before she's done the coaching I'm assuming she's doing before rehearsals, and before she has any rehearsals for the role or score.
So I'm of two minds about it. |
