What is a professional naysayer?
As MM is a personal favorite, I was looking forward to this production. The cast and creative team had me excited as well. Sadly, excitement led to disappointment. Lackluster performances, visuals, etc, etc, etc.
Jackman was a particular letdown. I’ve never found him a very good singer but he always gives his all. At the performance I attended his voice was strained at best and his overall performance was lacking.
Sutton never fails to charm but this time around she couldn’t win me over.
As I said MM is a favorite of mine and I had purchased tickets for 4 separate performances. If I can cancel or sell the tickets I have to the other three performances I will. |
