Yeah, I'm not sure what kind of tap she thinks has been done on Broadway... but I've never seen the level of amateur banality she described on a Broadway stage.
It makes me so mad when an artist who doesn't work a lot on Broadway comes to do something on broadway and discusses what has come before, or their impression of what Broadway is like (normally musicals) in a dismissive and cartoon/stereotype way, as if their understanding of what Broadway musicals are like comes from sitcoms and high school productions. |
