Not meant to be condescending or presumptuous of your comprehension.
The general awareness of proper mask usage is low across the board, so we can all use the helpful reminders of mask safety. I think it's useful to point out that simply covering our faces is not enough. As you point out, if you and I are wearing masks properly, and somebody else is still wearing a cloth mask or a K95 that they've had for a month, we aren't effectively controlling the spread. |
