Beanie Feldstein has a teeny-tiny little-girlish speaking voice in real life.
Oh, come on. Compared to Chenoweth (who I admire quite a lot), Feldstein's speaking voice isn't "teeny-tiny little-girlish" AT ALL.
As for the video - frankly, most of what everyone says here is pure pablum and hyperbole. But it's the kind of stuff they feel they have to say, cannily edited down to the bare essentials. You expected lots of brainy analysis of the show??
I was particularly annoyed at the comments on how iconic the original production is. Most people who will be seeing this won't have seen it, and may not even know much about it. They may not even know that much about the show itself, aside from some of the hit songs (mostly "People" and "Don't Rain On My Parade") and perhaps the film. For most people, whether they are the luckiest people or not, this will be their first experience with the show. And since it's being reconceived, it won't even be that. |
