| Mikem’s post expresses my feelings exactly. Pre-pandemic I was a fairly frequent theatergoer, but I found I missed it far less than I thought I would, and while I feel safe enough going to the theater now, I have become extremely selective. This year I may see a quarter of the shows I would have seen three or four years ago. Part of this is economic— I’m finding prices for decent seats stratospheric these days — but I also find that there’s very little I’m jazzed about seeing. |
