I am in the same boat as you and Mikem. Even before the pandemic I was a lot more blase about most offerings than I had been historically. I just don't fall for the hype any more and very few shows are worth the extra guarded effort these days. I saw Lehman Trilogy again on Broadway and that was the first Covid precaution show I saw, and it was worth the effort. I've been to the Met Opera more frequently because the entire experience gives me a very secure feeling, from the respect patrons and staff show for each other and the very rigorous attention to mask wearing and vaccine checks. Even during the 40 minute intermissions audience members were not "trying to get away with" taking off masks. That is just not the case on Broadway, where things are more lax. I can tell you when Broadway lifts the vaccine checks and mask requirements, it will be at least six months before I go back, I want others to be the guinea pigs.
