I've been to the theatre about five times in L.A. over the past three months (three in the past week). I have been asked for proof of vaccine (I am fine with that, although since my booster proof is on another card, I was rather annoyed when the staff checking saw only my first two shots and rather incredulously asked "Haven't you gotten a booster?") and mask policies are in place. Doesn't bother me at all and for the most part, everyone I have sat next to and around are also in compliance. I don't freak if I see a mask below the nose since I know everyone is showing proof of vaccine when they enter. I plan on wearing my mask probably well into the future, I've been on long haul flights with it with no problem, etc. Oddly enough, I'm still a little reluctant to go to movie theaters, haven't done that much at all.
I do feel that audiences are very happy to be at the theater again and I also get the same feeling from the performers. That does give me a warm and fuzzy feeling, especially after dealing with traffic and parking (which is when I miss Covid!). |
