The vaccinations are very effective in terms of protecting you from dying or requiring hospitalisation.
They do not prevent you from contracting the virus, and while a number of people have experienced an illness that is barely worse than a cold, particularly since the arrival of the Omicron variant, a good number of people have been significantly more unwell than that.
And we know asymptomatic transmission is a possibility, and wearing a face covering is not simply about protecting *you*.
At this point, two years in, not understanding how all of this works is a choice. |
