Oh, I agree with you, certainly about "Funny Girl". I think the show stands or falls by the person playing Fanny. Maybe it's been rewritten in the revival to give other characters more to do, but her share of songs alone makes her casting critical. "Find Yourself A Man" especially, has always seemed like filler and something to put in front of the audience while Fanny gets a break off-stage.
