I’m currently trapped in my basement isolating after catching Covid (2 years in!).
I was trying to at least catch up on marking some homework which was slow-going, and then I heard my daughters (ages 9 and 6) upstairs belting out “Bad Cinderella” and “I Know I Have A Heart” from ALW/ Zippel’s “Cinderella” (they adore it— as do I!).
Then they switched to “We Don’t Talk About Bruno”…
So naturally I snuck my Bluetooth speaker up the stairs and started blasting all their faves— the aforementioned, as well as “Downtown” from Little Shop, “Biggest Blame Fool” from Seussical, “Morning Person” from Shrek…
I feel 1000 x better just listening to the laughter and dancing from my cave.
Thank god for musical theatre loving babes! |
