| For better or worse, the statistical violence you're using to make your point mostly takes place in specific areas (and is not new). There are places in Philadelphia and Chicago that feel very unsafe and scary (rightly or wrongly) but the majority of the city feels very safe. The random violence currently trending in NYC is happening in places it hasn't usually occurred. At least that's how it seems/feels. I still feel safe in the areas I frequent in NYC but it is beginning to get a bit alarming. |
