"No extra fees"?
That's true in some theatres. It is not true everywhere. For anything managed by ATG, for example, there will be some kind of booking fee on top of the ticket's face value if you book in advance via the website.
US$100 today = £77, give or take. That will get you the back row of the dress circle at Cabaret if you're lucky - they're doing dynamic pricing - and it won't get you centre stalls for anything that's really popular. For the really popular shows - Cabaret, or Cock - you're looking at at least double that for one of the better stalls seats.
That said, prices for some of the big shows have dropped a bit - Cabaret aside, there are nowhere near as many eye-wateringly expensive "premium seats" as there used to be - but 'cheaper' isn't *cheap*. At Hamilton, a centre stalls seat will probably be £95 or £125. Anything at £75 or below will be way off to the sides/further back/both. |
