I went to Circle Rep a lot in the '70s and '80s and saw him in several plays there. The ensemble there was so strong that I don't remember actors who stood out. I do remember him in "The Fifth of July" and "The Runner Stumbles," however. At the time (1979, before his first movie) a friend who saw him in "Runner" commented that he would make an excellent film actor.
About 20 years later, I saw him again on stage in "Good" at A.C.T. in San Francisco. |
