There are two tunes I love on that album. One has George Burns “singing” Easy Money, backed by what sounds like a bevy of beauties. He’s canny, charming, and funny.
The second one I love is the last section of a medley called “Composer’s Turn“. Cy Coleman himself plays piano and sings three songs, with the third being “A Lovely Day to be Out of Jail”. In his own hands, the number is an effortless, lovable earworm. Definitely worth a listen. |
