I saw it last Saturday night. Best (and the rest of the cast) is fantastic. The show has a good base but needs fine-tuning. The songs almost all went on way too long (multiple repeats of choruses with the exact same lyrics, etc) and the main relationship thread of the show gets a bit lost in the middle.
It is quite funny and clever (at one point Mary makes a reference to knowing exactly how to love him, and the antagonist’s songs had me dying laughing).
Since I saw it in person I’m not going to stream it but if you’re not able to see it, $45 to stream it is probably worth it, if only for the cast. |
