Thanks, TMGnyc. I hadn't read anything about ''Luca's'' limited run at El Capitan. There was a time when an Oscar-eligible movie had to have at least a limited engagement in L.A. and New York.

I think the pre-pandemic rule was that a film had to play for a week in a Los Angeles movie theater to be eligible for the Oscars. I do not know what the rule is now.
