Very bizarre indeed. Every other live performance venue in Western MA is back in full throttle this summer. A big yawn to Williamstown '22. After experiencing wince-inducing Alien/Nation last year, I am going to carefully evaluate their productions.
I don't think it's much of a surprise. Have you followed Mandy Greenfield's resignation, etc? Check out the LA Times coverage. In brief, they are doing a short season so that the level of staffing and the production demands align, as a result of complaints from staff. At least that is the stated reasoning.
