| So Roth played Mrs Bogen on Broadway in 1962 then Mrs Brice in the tour of 1964. Is this unusual, a Broadway performer playing two different parts (where aging is not a reason)? Do we know the reason for the change? Incidentally the re-issued cast album on Stage Door records is well worth while with the cast album with cleaned up sound, demo recordings, a Sy Oliver instrumental album and cover recordings (2 CD set) |
