But we don't know that's the reason. One person said maybe that was the reason, but we don't actually know, and it is unlikely, because, as you say, it would be incredibly problematic for an institution to cancel 1 - 3 shows simply because the AD was directing a show at the Atlantic... and wouldn't make any sense for their funding model or their profile in the industry.
I'd say it's more likely they're having issues with funding or with organization since Jack has left. We've already seen The Lark fall apart once John left, and that was without May driving the institution off a cliff. |
