| I suggest that Stritch and Browning were up for Best Leading Actress because they were SO GOOD. i think Broadway expected Brownkng to have quite the career after COMPANY. It was surprising she didn’t. Audiences fell in love with April and her monologue...because Browning was so genuinely innocent. We really wanted her to win Bobby. |
