| I'm getting married a week from today, so this has been on my mind! Here are some of the songs we're incorporating: For music played as people gather in their seats: Prelude 1: "That Would Be Enough" from Hamilton Prelude 2: "I've Never Been in Love Before" from Guys and Dolls Prelude 3: "Haled's Song About Love" from The Band's Visit Prelude 4: "Get Me to the Church on Time" from My Fair Lady Actual walking down the aisle is non-Broadway, and done to instrumental versions of "Can't Help Falling in Love With You" and "Always With Me" (from the Miyazaki film Spirited Away). Our Recessional is "Promises" from Hadestown. (Fun fact: My fiancé and I saw Eva Noblezada perform a show last year. Afterwards, we told her about our plan to use "Promises", and she assured us that it was okay, even if things in the actual show go bad). First dance is to "Rainbow Connection" (from The Muppets). Our last dance is "Seeing You" from Groundhog Day. Beyond that, here are other songs we have listed for dancing, dinner, etc: "Helpless"-Hamilton "Tonight"-West Side Story "Being Alive"-Company "Suddenly Seymour"-Little Shop of Horrors "You Matter to Me"-Waitress "Wedding Song"-Hadestown "(You're) Timeless to Me" (Hairspray) "The Room Where it Happens"-Hamilton (for dancing) "We Don't Talk About Bruno"-Encanto (for dancing) |
