| I thoroughly enjoyed the first season; it isn't quite as good as DOWNTON ABBEY, especially from a dramatic point of view, but its lavish production and the presence of so many theater people was a delight. The finale was particularly strong. The big ballroom sequences had quite the gathering of Broadway legends, with Christine Baranski, Donna Murphy, Cynthia Nixon, Kelli O'Hara, and Nathan Lane all being together in "the room where it happened." That was a special treat. |
