I haven't seen the whole season yet, but I like what I've seen so far, and I don't have problems with the acting. It's quite a bit nastier than Downton Abbey; those characters were mostly good-natured but these people, especially Baranski (an actress I generally adore) are exceptionally mean-spirited and snobbish. Downton seemed like an enjoyable place to be, but this world seems like you'd want to get out as soon as humanly possible.
