Some perfectly good performances with some interesting-enough monologues, but in no way is this a cohesive evening of theatre. There is no attempt in direction or design to pull these seven women into one united piece of theatre.
I wouldn’t argue against mounting this at a nonprofit, or with some stars in a limited run with big direction choices, but this is essentially a production you could expect to find on college campuses or community theatres.
This is a failure of commercial producing, plain and simple. This show would never find a large sustaining audience, and steps aren’t taken to even try. Horrible design, horrible marketing.
