Since it's a makeshift shower outside, and there are horny GIs everywhere, it doesn't seem all that odd that the women wear bathing suits. I think they primarily want to shampoo their hair.
In Mister Roberts the ladies are definitely nude in the shower, but then it's inside a building. However, the window in the shower has no curtain, that is, until Lt. Girard realizes the men are using binoculars to check out the nurses showering. |
