just three days ago, on May 10, the divine Nancy Walker would have celebrated her 100th birthday as well! Two of my absolute favorite Broadway performers, born within days of each other! A reminder of how blessed we were to have them entertain us on the stage (and on television) for such a long time. Bea's impeccable Vera Charles in "Mame" -- and Nancy's hilarious turn in "Adventure" from "Do Re Mi" are just two of my favorite highlights of two memorable, legendary careers. Nancy's recording of Sondheim's 'I'm Still Here" ("Follies") from "Sondheim: A Musical Tribute" is just about untouchable.
