This makes me so sad. I saw it a few weeks ago with my best friend (who is currently in the midst of a divorce) and her 9-year-old boy. We all loved it. It was fun, funny, and moving. Rob McClure is doing a performance for the ages, including having to vamp and improvise when the loop machine stopped working in the middle of his number. And the show itself was really great. I plan on buying the cast album, which is not how I felt after seeing Flying Over Sunset. It also fills a niche for family-friendly shows that are not Disney movies or jukebox musicals on Broadway. There's a gap between Lion King and A Strange Loop that needs to be filled.
