Theoretically, pre-amplification, front mezz is the best sound in the house. Of course, sound mix and strategic placement of amplification devices override the physics of theater design today, at least to a point. But it's odd that this show's sound issues crop up in almost every thread. Matilda had a comparable problem, start to finish: so loud, many people thought it was lip-synched in places, especially kids.
