| The whole show is a mess. Listen to the score. Then listen to Sunday in the Park with George. Which one deserved the Pulitzer? Are they in the same league... at all? The answer is no. This show is the "emperor has no clothes". It's a terrible show, but because it's a "big, fat, Queer meta musical" we are all supposed to love it! Never mind the merits of it's elements. Awful Script. Awful Score. Awful Book. Nice for a little off Broadway run, but not ready for prime time. |
